How does JMS Incorporated navigate evolving inspection and packaging requirements in the metal stamping industry?

At JMS Incorporated, process optimization is a critical part of supporting high-volume production, especially when components demand elevated quality standards and customer-specific packaging requirements.

One recent deep-drawn product presented exactly that challenge. Driven largely by OEM specifications, the project required a specialized packaging solution capable of preserving part quality while significantly improving throughput and consistency during the final packaging stage.

To meet those requirements, JMS’s Manufacturing Engineering Team designed, built, and fully integrated a custom automated packaging system engineered specifically for the application. The machine inspects, catalogs, and cell-packs parts into individual trays before they’re loaded into boxes. This ensures both quality assurance and packaging precision.

Optimized to process approximately two parts per second, the system yields nearly 7,200 parts per hour, dramatically outperforming the previous manual packaging method while improving overall efficiency and repeatability. This machine opens the door to streamline packaging standardization.

Projects like this reflect the ingenuity, adaptability, and technical expertise of JMS’s Manufacturing Engineering Team.

By developing tailored automation solutions in-house, the team continues to strengthen JMS’s ability to evolve with the complex manufacturing industry demands.
