Assembly
The assembly process integrates design engineering, precision manufacturing, and coordinated logistics to produce a multi-piece product of higher value than its individual components. Combining multiple components into a single product results in lower costs for complex parts and greater functionality and performance.
At JMS, we specialize in build-to-print assemblies. Depending on the project’s scope and complexity, our team will either design and tool the necessary equipment in-house or partner with one of our specialized machine integrators to build a customized assembly process.
Regardless of the direction we take, we work closely with our customers to implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and develop robust Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs) to reduce risk and improve process stability. Additionally, collaborating closely with our supply chain, demand chain, and manufacturing partners allows us to deliver cost-competitive stamped metal assemblies that meet tight tolerances, production schedules, and all specifications.
Our assemblies frequently integrate precision metal stampings with cold-formed components, machined parts, rubber components, and additional stamped metal components. To join these parts efficiently, we use a range of proven manufacturing processes, including welding, clinching, pressing, bending, dimpling, and mechanical fastening.
These capabilities allow JMS Incorporated to support customers requiring custom metal stampings, high-volume production assemblies, and precision manufacturing solutions for demanding industries such as automotive, industrial equipment, and electrical components.
